Artificial Grass

Synthetic turf. Fake lawn. At Purchase Green we call it artificial grass. Whichever way you choose to describe it, there’s one constant – each and every grass we create at Purchase Green is awesome! Once you’ve made the decision to install artificial grass, the next thing to do is figure out which grass is right for you. It’s our job here at Purchase Green to help you do precisely that.

In order to help you make the best decision and ultimately best meet your synthetic turf needs, we’ve identified the four key attributes that influence customer decisions.

Application

This is one of the first and most important questions to ask yourself – namely, what am I getting artificial grass for? Is this for a landscape project? Do I want a putting green? Am I building a play area or playground for the kids? Will this be used for sporting events? Is this for the dog to use (and use for a restroom)? The intended application of your artificial grass could be something easy to overlook or under plan for, so be sure to make the application a significant part of your decision-making process.

Traffic

This is pretty straightforward – how much foot traffic will there be on your new synthetic lawn? Don’t forget, if necessary, to factor in little feet as well as furry feet. If you’re installing artificial grass primarily to admire from a distance, then a low-traffic grass is likely going to be suitable. If you expect a moderate amount of everyday foot traffic or periodically heavy traffic, then in most cases a medium-traffic grass will do. And if you expect to be getting up close and personal with your new synthetic lawn – whether by sport, by pet or by simply spending a lot of time on your grass – then a high-traffic grass is going to work best.

Family

Over the years we’ve found customers prefer a wide variety of features in their artificial grass. Some like a shiny grass that’s reminiscent of morning dew. Others prefer a matte finish. Some customers want a light-traffic grass that’s great for aesthetics while others prefer a heavy-duty grass that can stand up to the heaviest traffic. Some customers even want a specific blade shape! That’s part of the reason we carry such a massive variety. We truly do have something for everyone.

The Purchase Green artificial grass families are:

PG, Vista, Eco, Southwestern, Nature’s Sod, Fescue, Bluegrass, Arizona, Marathon and 360.

Yarn

Synthetic grass yarns play an extremely important role in the finished product. Depending on the yarns used, they can help to improve performance, reduce (or increase) shine, reduce heat, minimize friction, enhance texture and change the color and hue. That’s why at Purchase Green we are always scouring the globe for unique and extraordinary yarns no one else offers. It’s also why we feature seven different yarns as well as our Cool Yarn technology.

Purchase Green yarn varieties are:
Flat, Willow, Stem, Double Diamond, S-Shape, V-Shape, C-Shape, U-Shape, Mini-W, Cool Yarn, and Hollow Yarn.

Once all those attributes have been considered, the really fun part begins. Checking out all of our grasses! We definitely recommend that you come be our guest at a nearby Purchase Green location so you can see and feel the grasses for yourself.

If you’re unable to do that, you can check out every single one of our grasses online. You can also order free samples too!

No matter which grass you choose, you’ll be glad to know that each feature’s our industry-leading, triple-layer backing system and our Lifetime Warranty.
